Donna M. Boleyn, 70, of Sumner, died Monday, November 10, 2014, at Unity Point/Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sumner with Rev. James Brokman officiating. Interment will follow at Union Mound Cemetery in Sumner. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 12th at Becker-Milnes Funeral Home in Sumner where a Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will also be for one hour preceding services at the church on Thursday.
Donna Mae, daughter of Reynold and Leta (Chase) Michels was born March 9, 1944 at Waterloo, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Immaculate Conception Church In Fairbank. She attended Immaculate Conception School at Fairbank until sixth grade and later attended Oelwein schools. On January 27, 1962 she was united in marriage to Sidney Boleyn. She was a nurse’s aide at People’s Hospital in Independence. She moved to Sumner in 2008 and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Sumner. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidering.
She is survived by her husband Sidney of Waterloo; two sons, Darin (Jill) Boleyn of Oelwein, and Timothy of Hazelton; two daughters Kim (Mark) McLeish of Sumner, and Wanda ( Tim) Smith of Urbandale; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons, Devin and Quinton Berkes; one granddaughter Breanna Boleyn; one sister Barbara Krob; two brothers Eugene Michels, and Reynold Michels Jr.
